ABOUT
When I first became acquainted with gemstones, I was amazed by the beauty God's earth provides. I had been working in macrame for a long time, and I knew that I wanted to take things a step further and set these beautiful stones in fiber. I came up with my bezel setting, and with this I viewed my fiber work more as textile building and as a structure to set cabochons. This approach lead to a book, teaching some beginner classes with beads, and continuing to solve problems for how fiber can work in creative ways to support gemstones and beads. All of this lead to another invention: a new kind of "macrame board," and also a better kind of fiber for this and other forms of fiber art. I share these things to communicate with others who love gemstones, fiber, classic fashion, and vintage as much as I do.
